Call The 5's grew out of a simple frustration: too many local taxi services treated passengers as fares and drivers as gig-economy disposables. We thought there was a better way — fixed prices, properly paid local drivers, modern cars, and a phone number anyone in Dorset could remember at 2am.
Today we're the chosen ride for everyone from cruise passengers stepping off P&O ships at Portland Port, to grandparents on weekly hospital runs, to brides arriving at the Old Harbour church. Same team, same standards, same five-star service.
We're licensed by Dorset Council. Every driver is DBS-checked. Every car is under five years old, valeted weekly, and carries a card terminal, phone chargers and bottled water. Most of our drivers have lived in Weymouth, Portland or Dorchester their whole lives — they know the shortcut, the back lane, and the lay-by with the best view of the bay.
